Additionally, many of these sites have been shut down, and when they are, an investigation into not only the website itself but also its customers and the employers of its customers takes place to ensure none of the fake degrees have been used to fraudulently obtain employment.

The Quality of the Web site Generally Reflects the Quality of the Products
We have noticed that you can generally get a feel for how good the companies or web sites diploma and transcript quality is going to be by the quality of their web sites and/or advertisements. We are not saying this is always the case, but most "fly-by-night" fake diploma web sites and diploma mills don't seem to put much effort in the quality of their web sites or advertisements. We generally recommend steering clear of sites that look like they were designed by a unemployed high school drop-out in someones basement. If a novelty diploma provider is going to invest the time and money in building a higher quality web site, chances are they are also going to invest in higher quality production equipment, materials, and time producing your product(s).

Companies & Web sites the "Over-Sell" their products
Another trend we have noticed is that alot of the companies and fake diploma web sites out there just looking to take your money, generally tend to make outrageous offers and claims in an attempt to build your trust and get you to buy. Watch out for sites that have offers like "Find a better Diploma and We'll Pay YOU $100.00 Dollars!!!" or "30-Day Money Back Guarantee!!!". While its good that a company or web site believes in their product and wants you to be happy with your purchase, we have yet to hear of any customers actually getting their money back from one of these sites when they were not satisfied with their product.
